Down another half pound this week. I need to step up the exercise, and get under that 240 mark again.
Snacking 2.0
I’ve become something of a yogurt connoisseur over the last year. So here’s some unsolicited advice on improving your 100 calorie dairy snack:
Buy organic. Trust me, it’s better. It typically has more sugar than other yogurt, but is creamier and has far fewer preservatives. You usually have to stir it up before eating, but the extra effort (and price) is definitely worth it.

It’s about one man’s struggle to lose weight, as well as “facts and figures on the $40 billion a year diet industry”. It’s inspiring, pretty funny and as most documentaries go - informative. I dare you to watch it and not want to eat or exercise better...

This morning
I woke up to my alarm, because this is the time of year CPA’s have to work on Saturdays. But instead of loathing this weekend wake up call, I was a little excited because of my weigh in. The last two weeks, since I started a weight loss competition with my mom and sister, I’ve been tracking my calories very well, eating more organic food, and getting in more work on the elliptical. Weigh-in tomorrow
I don’t know why, but I’m kind of excited. For the most part, I think I’ve been doing things right the last two weeks. Do you ever just feel healthier?

Number of pounds my mom has lost this week. I’m very proud of her, although she’s still not going to beat me.

Amount of time I’ve spent our elliptical since setting it up last Saturday. My mom and sister don’t realize it yet, but they are going to lose.

Me: We ate Mexican food for lunch today, and I managed to not eat any chips before the meal came out.
Christin: Really? How'd you do that?
Me: I didn't reach my big fat hand in the basket and grab any.

My weigh in today. I’m down 10 pounds from where I started 10 months ago, with 30 to go for my goal. 2011 is going to be a losing year, both for my waistline and my mother and sister in our competition. Get excited.
